Google's Science Journal: A Science Lab On Your Smartphone
Google introduces Science Journal, an app that installs a science lab on your smartphone.
Google’s app for Android uses all the sensors of the device to make a series of scientific measurements, depending on what each user want to examine. One of the app’s best features is that it can present comprehensible graphs with the results of the measurements. Google is considering to expand the possibilities of this app by collaborating with the San Francisco Exploratorium.
Google is widely known for its educational acts, which are not few. In the past, Google sent 120.000 different science kits in museums under the Google Field Trip Days initiative, which allows children to visit museums in deprived areas. For the more ambitious, small scientists, Google had sent 350.000 kits for more complex experiments.
With Google’s Science Journal you can organize your ideas into projects, make predictions, take notes and collect data from multiple tests on every occasion. Then, you can record and analyze your results. It is the ultimate notebook that you will always have with you.
Science Journal is completely free.
