It is no news that Flash is losing more and more ground, and Google is coming to give another solid hit.

The company announced that Google Chrome will block flash content by default, by the end of the year, giving the user of course the option to keep it enabled in any website that he wishes- but he has to do it manually, though.

An exception to this rule (at least for the begging) is that the 10 popular websites worldwide will be included in a whitelist and will not have flash content blocked by the browser, so as not to bother many users with prompts for changes. Those websites are YouTube, Facebook, VK, Live, Yandex, OK.ru, Twitch, Amazon, Yahoo and Mail.ru.

Developers are quite sure about pushing HTML5 instead of Flash, and this is due to various reasons, with the main one being the several vulnerabilities that exist in the software. For example, in 2015, there were 316 Flash bugs discovered and fixed, with 113 of them found in the Q4 of 2015.
