1 medium WSJ The iPhone 7 Will Be BoringRumors have it that the iPhone 7 will not have any major upgrade, and this was confirmed by The Wall Street Journal, which claims that Apple will change its plans of redesigning the device every two years.

According to the report, in a meeting with senior Apple executives, an engineer based in China was asked why the upcoming iPhone did not change much in terms of design. The answer was that there is a new technology that is designed to quickly be integrated by Apple, but it needs time in order to be fully compatible.

The article also confirms that Apple will remove this year the 3.5 mm jack in the iPhone 7, leaving the lightning audio port to have the role of charging and headphones. A recent rumor also surfaced, claiming that indeed Apple wants to include a 3.5 mm lightning adapter so that the transition is smoother. It may also include a dual lens system for the iPhone 7 Plus, which will be a major upgrade for the fans of photography, and that will bring the iPhone one step closer to taking DSLR digital photos.

The WSJ says that the company wanted to bring a curved display on the iPhone 7, but it simply was not ready. So Apple hopes to incorporate this great new feature next year, when the iPhone will celebrate 10 years of existence.

The iPhone 7 is expected to be presented in September.
