VREAL is a new streaming platform, like Twitch for example, but with the main difference that it’s made to work with VR content.

According to the team that’s behind the development of this platform, in order to watch the VR content through VREAL, you must wear your own VR headset as well, and then join the host player in his game as a viewer.

Additionally, even though you will be following the player’s moves, due to the new kind of rendering that will be performed in the viewer's end, you will also be able to move freely in the game. In other words, the main player’s action will have an effect on the game, but viewers will be able to move in space, and even be visible or audible as well, if the main player wants. This will probably bring a new level of interaction in video gaming and content broadcasting.

Last, but not least, those who wish to join the streaming session but do not own a VR headset, will be able to select typical methods for viewing the streaming content (i.e. normal displays), or use other solutions such as Samsung Gear VR or Cardboard.
