Ukie's Top 40 Week 38 Game Chart- Destiny ranks 1st for second consecutive week
According to Ukie, Destiny holds effortlessly the top first place for the second week since its release, even though its sales dropped by 78%; and it’s not really surprising due to the fact that gamers all over the world were having high anticipations for it. Sales of the Playstation 4 console have also increased, which is not a coincidence since 72% of them account for the PS4 + Destiny bundle.
Destiny is followed by Disney Infinity 2.0, which ranks second this week and is up by 32% compared to the first Disney Infinity title same time last year. Nintendo’s Hyrule Warriors, which was developed by Omega Force, comes in the 3rd place, just above Watch Dogs. Ubisoft’s creation decreased in popularity by 23%, losing last week’s 3rd place and falling into the 4th place instead. The Sims 4 was in the second place last week, but had a significant 41% fall this week, forcing it to rank 5th. A steady title that held its position in the charts since the previous week is Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, which although had its sales go up by 12%, remained in the 6th position. Call of Duty: Ghosts is starting to fade slowly from Top 10 charts (-17%), dropping from last week’s 4th place to this week’s 7th; it’s still one place above Minecraft: PS3 Edition however, which went up by 7% in sales and ranked 8th this week. The 9th place is occupied by The Last of Us: Remastered, which did have a considerable drop from the previous week (went down by 27% in sales and 4 ranks in the charts), whilst Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is proud (and lucky) to still have a place in the top ten games this week besides its 16% drop in sales.
Here’s the list of the top 40 games for week 38 in 2014 (15-21 of September) as published on Ukie.
