Price And Release Date For Nvidia GTX 1060
Nvidia announced yesterday the price and release date of the highly anticipated GTX 1060.
As it seems, the new company’s graphics card will be released only to “challenge” in terms of price and performance the AMD RX480, with its price ranging between $200 and $250. In fact, the GTX 1060 will become available for a recommended retail price of $249 on July 19.
According to Nvidia, this particular card is not as close with the more powerful GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 in terms of architecture, but is more similar to the 980, with which- according to the company’s announcements- it has similar performance.
The version that will be released on July 19 will be clocked at 1,7GHz, incorporate 1280 CUDA cores, accompanied by 6GB GDDR5 memory and have five video outputs: one HDMI, one DVI and three DisplayPort.
H Nvidia also announced that for the price of $299, the corresponding Founders Edition of the 1060 will be available as well. However, we cannot make a solid opinion about the card yet, unlike similar releases lately, since we have no information about card’s performance under realistic conditions. Therefore, it’s recommended that prospective buyers have patient for the time being.
