How to Customize the Quick Action Buttons in the Action Center [Windows 10]
A lot of changes were made to the Windows environment in Windows 10, most notably in the taskbar. In this article we’re going to explain how you can customize the quick settings that appear at the bottom part of the Action Center, a new addition in Windows 10 which really made a huge difference in terms of design and looks in the new OS.
The procedure is really easy and quick; you won’t be messing with any system settings/files, and you won’t need any 3rd-party tools for it either.
Customizing the Quick Action Buttons in Win 10's Action Center
Ok, here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Open the Action Center
Click on the notifications icon located at the bottom right edge of the screen (next to the clock) to open the Action Center.
If you’re using a Windows Phone/Tablet, then swipe in from the left side of the screen.
Step 2: Open the Settings Window
Once you’ve opened the Action Center, click the All Settings button. If you can’t find it, then click on the Expand arrow to unhide it.
Step 3: Go to System Settings
In the Settings window, select the System option.
Step 4: Change the Quick Settings in “Notifications & Actions”
In the System settings, select Notifications & Actions from the sidebar on the left. Then, under the Quick actions settings group, you will see 4 icons which represent the quick settings that are currently displayed in the Action Center. Clicking on any of them will display a list with all the available actions, so select the one you want to keep for that button. You can only choose 4 settings to be shown, and it's quite obvious that you can't use the same action for more than one button.
That's it! Pretty easy, right? Now you can access settings you use often quickly from the action center, without having to search for them. What quick settings do you have enabled?
