Phablets used to be thought of as simply too large and impractical. Early Samsung Galaxy Note models with its old school pen stylus were thought to be outdated but consumers surprised the doubters by buying the Note range every year in greater numbers as the screen size of the Note continued to grow with its audience. Other manufacturers have been watching closely and would like to get a piece of this growing segment of the smart phone market.
