WireFusion Zoom 1.1

Overview

WireFusion Zoom is an add on from Demicron that is designed to work with WireFusion 4.1.16 and later versions. The software adds a zooming capability to static images that can create a sense of movement in a still shot by only showing some of the image and then zooming into it or panning across it when the image has enough pixel depth to support the actions.

WireFusion is a leading tool for created Web3D presentations that can be used on web sites all around the world without the need for special plug-ins to be downloaded. The tool has numerous real world applications including for architects, artists, planners, real estate agents, and other professionals. 

Static images can be HD quality, streamed over the net, even on low-bandwidth connections. The HD quality is required in order to be able to zoom into an image without losing image quality and the image becoming “fuzzy” in the process.

The WireFusion Zoom add on brings zooming into the Web3D environment implementing a way for picture to be zoomed in and out within the presentation itself. The 3D objects supported by the WireFusion application include VRML and X3D formats.

Installation

The installation of WireFusion Zoom requires that the WireFusion package version 4.1 or later has already been installed.

WireFusion Zoom can be installed this way:

1. Start 'WireFusion'
2. Choose File > Install Add-on
3. Browse for the plug-in file 'wf-zoom_v11.wpl'
4. When the add-on splash window appears, click either Tryout Mode or Register
5. Restart WireFusion

The installation went perfectly. There was no malicious software included with the WireFusion Zoom distribution package.

WireFusion Zoom requires a Windows OS and WireFusion 4.1 or later.

Interface

The interface for WireFusion Zoom adds a multimedia object as “Zoom”.

It is possible to drag the Zoom object into the script area of WireFusion in order to start using it.

The Zoom dialog window includes the image name, image dimensions, target area, image quality, zoom time, fade time, and several other zoom-related features.
