TMPGEnc Authoring Work is a package to convert MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formatted video files and turn them into DVD-Video structured files for burning to a DVD for distribution. The quality of the final DVD will depend on the quality of the MPEG video originals; the software retains the bit-rate and frame-rate quality of the original but cannot improve quality for you. The outputted files are in the .VOB and .IFO file formats required for DVD authorship. You can also cut individual scenes and put them on as separate files with their own playback options. The package includes all the settings from TMPGEnc Plus 2.5, so by using the aforementioned package, you get the best output. However, other digital video output packages will suffice.
