Overview

Swift To-Do List is a task manager that can handle to do items and sub-tasks to keep the user focused and productive.

The software has been lovingly created and updated over an 8+ year period. The desktop package supports a single user license ready for installation on up to 3 computers which makes it ideal for a work PC, business laptop and computer in the den.

Both main tasks and sub tasks can be created using this tool. This makes it possible to create projects and then break down the steps needed to achieve each goal.

Fields are editable to add task names, priority level, task type, a start and due data, the person the task was assigned to, an estimate of the time to completion, what time has been spent so far, percentage completed, and many more measurements.

The software can be installed or runs directly from a USB flash drive so it can be taken on travels anywhere and conveniently be kept in the pocket.

Strong encryption of the To Do list database to protect the information stored from prying eyes.

Installation

The installation completed without any issues. There is an “Advanced” button which lets the user add further customization to their personal installation.

There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup package.

Swift To-Do List requires Windows OS.

Interface

The interface has a To Do List Tree which is down the left side. There is a main Task View to the right side of the list tree, and a Notes panel below that.

There is an extensive menu system at the top with quick access to the main features.

A notes feature is separate to the To Do lists and can also be used independently here. Spreadsheets can also be attached to To Do list items which is helpful and has more of a personal finance / business application use.

Overall, the interface is an easy to understand layout with spots of color here and there. It is pleasant to use without a major learning curve to get up to speed with it.
