Overview

If you want to convert image files between several different file formats but be able to edit them too, then you could buy an expensive image editing software, or you could get Photopus Pro instead. This program is an affordable image converter that supports a plethora of file types and also lets you edit the images in many ways; for example you can resize, flip and rotate them, adjust the colors (brightness, hue, saturation, etc.), add effects (noise, pixelize, sepia, blur, sharpen, etc.) and perform a lot of other actions that you don’t usually find in a regular software of this kind.

Installation

Installation is very easy to perform as there are no special settings required other than the shortcut and directory ones. Overall the whole process finishes in a minute or so. The setup package is completely clean from viruses and other kinds of malware, and doesn’t include any additional 3^rd party software either.

Supported operating systems are Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7 (32 and 64-bit).

Interface

The simplistic interface offers a unique feel that will give you the chance to explore the program and its features without any issues. It has a pane on the left with 4 buttons: Add Photos, Add Filters, Output and Process. These are basically the steps that you follow in order to manipulate an image. The first step is where you add the photos you want to convert and the second is the step in which you add the filters. The first step (Outpout) is the step where you choose the output file format and directory. You can also make some other settings, such as the quality of the output file and color/bit depth.

Pros

Very easy to use program with a lot of features. The fact that you can add loads of filters makes it quite useful under certain occasions where you have to make slight edits to a picture. There are annotation filters (date, watermark text/image), color filters (brightness, color balance, contrast, gamma correction, hue, saturation), transformation filters (crop, flip, rotate) and effects (black and white, blur, sharpen, diffuse, emboss, engrave, sepia, noise, pixelate, negative, eye correction, etc.).
