Pencil is an open source options for prototyping designs and sketching out ideas digitally. The package is based on the Mozilla Firefox technology so it is well tested. It is actually an add-on technology for Mozilla Firefox browsers so it should be compatible with multiple versions of Firefox. The package adds many drawing tools via a new GUI on the page. The drawing tool can be used to create design prototypes, wire-frame diagrams and other quick ideas put down digitally to show to superiors or prospective clients.
