Overview

Pixillion Premium Edition is an image conversion utility that can convert between a number of different image formats. Convert images between JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TIFF, PSD, PCX, TGA and even Adobe PDF format. Encode PDF files with page size information in order to display the enclosed image to show it in the best possible light.

Images can be loaded directly from a Windows folder or a CD. Images can be viewed and their format information seen before deciding whether to convert the image to a different format instead. Rotate, re-size or compress photos so they take up less room on a hard drive or CD disc.

Retain the full information from an original image when converting to a different image format as long as the new image format is capable of retaining the image detail and meta data held within the image.

A CD can be burned with a selection of new images. It is also possible to create a slideshow.

Installation

The software is an executable file, so it opens right away. As such, the application is portable and should be usable directly from a USB flash drive.

Pixillion Premium Edition requires Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8.

Interface

The interface displays the main menu at the top and some recognizable toolbar buttons across the top of the application. The toolbar buttons include Add images, Add folder, Select all, Remove, Burn disc, Edit images, Make slides, Options and Upgrade.

Below this area are the details about the photos imported into the application. To the right is an image preview and detailed information about the selected image.

At the bottom is the option to select the output folder and output image format, plus an Effect and Browse button. Lastly, a large "Conversion" button is shown in the bottom-right corner.
