Overview

MobiKin Assistant for Android is a control center for owners of Android smart phones and tablets. The software can connect up to different Android devices, pull in data and provide easier access to information on the device.

The benefit of using this type of application is that it neatly separates different types of data on the mobile device such as music, video, apps and so forth. This makes it possible to access the information, apps or files more quickly than when using a file manager and having to route through the device itself.

Contacts, SMS texts, and media like photos, movies, music, books and more can all be exported from the Android device over to the PC for further review. The software can also do the same in reverse, offering to copy photos, videos, music and other media across from the PC to the Android device without needing to use a manufacturer-specific software tool (which may be less than ideal) or a standard file manager which can be cumbersome to use.

Access contacts directly, view, edit or delete contacts held on Android. This can make it easier to look up information that is not in Outlook or other contact manager within Windows at the time.

Installation

The installation requires 21.2 MB of available space. The package completed installation without any issues.

There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware installed with the setup program.

MobiKin Assistant for Android requires Windows Windows 8.1, 8, 7, XP or Vista (32 bit or 64 bit). There is also a Mac desktop version.

Interface

The interface is very modern and clean-looking for full color toolbar buttons and plenty of white space.

The toolbar at the top has action buttons for My Android, Apps, Music, Photo, Video, Book, Files, Contacts and Tasks.

The application defaults to the My Android screen and displays a USB cord in the main display encouraging the user to connect up their smart phone to their computer.

Each separate section has a customized menu system down the left sidebar which includes options relevant to that section. For instance, the Photo section has navigation links to the photo gallery, other photos and online wallpaper. The Apps section links to Installed apps, and excellent apps found in the Play store; the app can actually install Play Store apps directly through the PC to the Android device which is useful.

AirDroid offers Wi-Fi connectivity. There is a Windows and Mac desktop app, and an Android app version to link the software together.

Conclusion

MobiKin Assistant for Android is a decent Android manager to neatly access information stored on droid devices, but it is a premium product at a steep price.
