If you just bought a new monitor and you want to test out its capabilities, Mihov Blank Screen is exactly the tool you need for the job. You can run different tests to make sure nothing is left out.

Here’s how it works:

• Test the brightness by making your screen ‘black’; if your screen does not turn black completely even after tinkering with brightness, it’s a sign you should be worried
• Choose the color ‘white’ if you want to make sure your computer has not a fatal flaw; if you see any blue or yellow spots it’s a clear sign you will be forced to get a new monitor soon
• Test the Moire effect by selecting ‘gray’ and monitoring the screen carefully while looking for patterns (if you find any, it means the test failed)
• By selecting ‘green’, you should see the screen still, but if you see any movement (‘storms’), it’s not a good sign
