The scanning process includes all directories and their respective subdirectories, providing comprehensive insights beyond just folder sizes. The results are visualized in a tree-list hybrid format, resembling the familiar Windows Explorer layout. This representation displays sizes, file/folder numbers, and percentages relative to the total disk size.

For further evaluation, scan results can be exported to various file formats, such as XLS (compatible with Excel or Calc from Open Office), HTML, text, or CSV. This allows for easy data manipulation and analysis in external applications.

MeinPlatz supports both x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) operating systems, making it suitable for a wide range of configurations. It is capable of handling hard disks with more than 2 million files or folders efficiently.

The tool offers convenient grouping options based on different criteria, allowing users to categorize the drive being analyzed according to file extension, modification time, size, or folder. In the print preview, users can adjust the aspect ratio (scaling) to optimize data placement and fit as much information as possible on a single page. Additionally, individual page margins can be modified for both the print and print preview modes.
