Overview

GoPro Studio is a software package to import videos made with the GoPro portable camera and view them easily.

The software has GoPro Edit Templates that are designed to take the hassle out of the editing process by including some of the most common types of edits required. This produces a faster editing process for many types of recordings.

Slow-motion effects are included in the software to take the most special moments and either replay them a second time or simply slow down their playback. Experiences like flying through the air from canopy to canopy on a zip-line can be vicariously experiences through the power of the GoPro and slow-motion playback.

Videos can easily be trimmed and edited to a more acceptable size taking several hours of footage and cutting it down to a more consumable video length for consumption by other people.

Time Lapse photos can also be seen and used in a final video sequence to bring different experiences to life without the need to see the whole video sequence. Cover hours in a few seconds while still taking in the real experience.

There is support for edit points, adding background music, audio tracks, editing existing templates or starting from scratch with a brand new edit instead. Titles can also be added to identify the clip or the copyright owner before distribution of the GoPro video sequence.

Installation

The installation completed without any issues.

There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup package.

GoPro Studio requires Windows OS.

Interface

The interface is dark and mysterious. This will be attractive to the young adult user base that GoPro cameras mostly attract.

Media clips are listed with their video thumbnail and file details in the left pane. The right side includes playback, viewing and preset options.

The center has a video preview and template editing view. Step by step instructions appear above the video clip i.e. Import and Convert, Edit, and Export.
