CDDoc! is an unusual benchmarking utility that is designed to run various checks on a CD or DVD drive. The app runs within a Terminal window issuing various commands to the attached CD or DVD drive to run tests on it. All through the testing process there is an ongoing series of messages in the reporting window to confirm what activity is being undertaken. At the end of the checks, an activity report is displayed as a .text file. This report details how many devices were found and tested, the random reading time, the random writing time (for disc burning) and total testing time.
