Macgo iPhone Cleaner is a software package to help improve the functionality of an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device.

The software can scan, locate and clean up useless files and junk that has build up on the iOS device over time. Temporary files, video and photo caches, crash logs, application cookies, and other files that are not needed long-term can be safely removed. This process can help reclaim much needed storage space.

Cleaning up old data can also help to remove the look ups that web browsers and other apps make which can slow down their overall performance.

The summary of what files are being stored on the device helps the user to see the hardware as a whole and make prudent cuts to create more free space. Apps, videos, photos and messages can all be removed from the iOS device to make more room.

Apps can also be cleaned. These can be individually selected to ensure that important app data from crucial apps is not touched whereas the more frivolous ones can have their disposable data deleted to make more free space.

Installation

The software required 6.4 MB of available space to complete the setup package. The installation completed without any difficulties.

There was no adware, toolbars, malware or spyware included with the setup program.

Macgo iPhone Cleaner requires Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 Technical Preview.

Interface

The interface is clean and attractive. There is no confusion about what anything does.

Initially the software will display an iPhone and suggest connecting it to the PC. Once this connection has been made, the software will scan the iOS device to capture a summary of what information is contained on it.

The interface then changes to show a column on the left with sections for each different category of data like temporary files, crash log, apps, user storage, and more.
