Overview

JetBoost is a free and reliable solution from BlueSprig designed to optimize performance of your computer and make sure that it always is as fast as it can be. It can terminate all unnecessary processes and services to save memory and CPU, as well as determine which ones to keep depending on what you want to use the computer for (gaming or work). In addition, you can manually pick which applications to close instead of letting the program do a fully automatic job.

Installation

You will barely have to lift a finger to setup this program, as the installation process is fairly quick and straightforward with no special configurations in the middle. The installation package is clean and doesn’t include malware or any kind of additional software.

JetBoost can run perfectly under any Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or 8 OS, either 32 or 64-bit versions.

Interface

The interface is simple, with not many features to choose from. It has two tabs, Boost and Settings, from which you can either start speeding up your computer or tweak the program’s settings to better suit your needs. In the boost tab, you have 3 scanning modes available: Work, Game or Custom. Between Work and Game modes, different processes will be shut down for better performance of the corresponding usage. The Custom option allows you to choose manually which services you want to keep and which ones to end. Regardless of which mode you pick, there is a box with details about all running or stopped processes and services, which you can hide and unhide easily by clicking on the appropriate bar. The speedup process will occur as soon as you click on the blue button that says “Start to Boost”.

Pros

You don’t have to do anything, really. With just one click JetBoost will ensure that your system is running at maximum speed, no longer loaded with unneeded processes that make it drop in performance. A more accurate boosting model will be created for you if you are a gamer, which includes termination of processes that would keep running normally but are unnecessary during gameplay.

Other tuning options include RAM cleaning, disabling automatic updates so that they do not interrupt while working or playing, enabling game power resolution which tweaks your power settings to high performance, clipboard clearing and others.

It is noteworthy that many translations are available for this software: English, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simple and Traditional), Estonian, Dutch, German, Japanese, Turkish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Cons

Currently it only has very few features, although more could be added to make it a more complete system boosting application.

JetBoost, unlike other PC optimizing utilities, has very few options and features that can only achieve basic speedup of your computer, mainly by terminating unnecessary processes running in the background. Whilst that’s a useful feature, it could use some extra tools to make it a more efficient program.
