Installation

Provided that you have installed a program before, then this setup will be a piece of cake to complete. You don’t have to make any configurations throughout the process, but you can view the readme file before the last step. When installation finishes you will be asked if you want to install Weeeb Store, a service from which you buy and sell web design resources called “Weeebs”.

It runs on Windows XP, Vista or 7 OS.

Interface

An intuitive and user-friendly interface is not what you would expect from such a professional software but you will find it amazingly easy to use. Some of the features are located below the menu bar, which is split in various tabs. The effects, colors and resources are in each side of the window. The resources menu has a lot of contents, that’s why there is a search box and a drop-down menu to choose graphics from several categories. In the center is the work area, where you can preview and edit your project. In addition, the language and the style of the window can be changed.

Pros

Since there are so many resources, there should be plenty of drawing tools to edit them as well, and that’s the case here. If you don’t want to edit the default ones you can create your own from scratch and add one of the countless preset effects to make it richer and more attractive. When you finish your work and want to save the project you have the ability to save it in quite a few formats: PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and SVG. The same formats are supported for importing images too, with the difference that you can also import SWF files. But before you save your logo you can customize it for different usage, such as for printing it on business card, T-shirt, cap, etc.

Cons

There is no tab support for working on multiple projects at the same time. You have to close one before you can open another, making it difficult for someone to shift between two work areas.

Alternatives

LogoMaker is a free online service for creating logos quickly and effortlessly. It is not as good as Sothink Logo Maker Pro because of its poor list of features, but it’s still worth trying out if you are short on time. Logo Design Studio by Summitsoft is another alternative with a big amount of features such as many built-in logo templates, objects and textures, professional fonts, along with support for importing/exporting to various formats, including SVG files. It is not free but it is a very good choice for logo designers.
