Overview

Mipony is a download manager that can be used to help access free file hosting sites more easily and download video files, sound files, documents, and file archives more easily.

The software can access RapidShare, File Factory, Hotfiles and many other online file repositories while bypassing the click-throughs and timed delays that bother free users of these sites (the registed or paid users of such sites avoid these issues.)

The Mipony package runs automatically when a file link to a supported file hosting site is clicked on within a web browser. The software will jump into action to run the download activity through its system to simplify the downloading process without the user needing to access the file hosting site, click the right buttons, sit for the waiting period, and the click the Start downloading link. This can take the pain out of using free file hosting sites.

There is now a new web browser element to the software with a tabbed interface. So it is possible to load up the file repository links directly.

The software will usually work with both the free accounts and the paid accounts for the file hosting.

Installation

The installation went as planned with no surprises. The version tested did not include spyware or malware.

Mipony requires Windows and .NET Framework 4.0 or later. There is also a Mac OS X version available.

Interface

The interface includes some toolbar buttons at the top to select Downloads, Add links, Browse, etc.

The downloads that have been added to the software will be included in the main display.

There is a tabbed interface where web sites can be loaded up through the application and then their file repository links clicked on directly rather than needing to use a separate web browser.

• Does not include all file repository sites.

Mipony is a useful facilitator that can save the user time by access a free file hosting repository and downloading a file for the user without their needing to deal with the site directly. Skip all the mouse clicks and timed delayed downloading for free users.
