zFTPServer Suite 7.0

Overview

zFTPServer Suite is a multi-threaded FTP server for Windows that is capable of handing a considerable amount of file transfers via FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP and HTTP communication protocols.

The software supports the mounting of a disk drive or individual directories anywhere within the home directory which can be turned into a virtual file system environment. Using such a system it is even possible to take a collection of physical directories and merge them virtually into one without the software missing a beat.

Strong encryption is supported for users who are concerned about their FTP uploads or downloads being intercepted. Up to 256-bit AES encryption is fully supported with zFTPServer Suite.

A TCP/IP connection is all that is needed to control the FTP server and get the most out of it. Scripts can be used to control the FTP server and make scheduled adjustments to how it is run. There is a convenient GUI that can be used to administer the FTP server functionality as well.

The speed is extremely good supporting up to 11 Mbyte/second which is the average on a 100 MBit LAN.

Installation

The installation completed without any issues.

There were no malicious software inclusions with the setup package.

zFTPServer Suite requires Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or Windows Server (32-bit and 64-bit supported).

Interface

The interface using the GUI is modern with a simple menu down the left side which changes depending on what section the user has accessed presently.

Users can be setup into accounts split between individual users and groups of users. This allows for the more easy setting up of user rights and access permissions for different groups of users.

Server configuration is performed with a different window which has sections for Global, Services, Speed Schedule, Authentication Integration, Logging, Messages, and Automatic Updates.
