Abylon LOGON is a secure access program designed for Windows up to version 8.1. The objective is that a username and password are only entered once. These are then encrypted (using one of many powerful encryption methods) on one of several possible single sign on methods. These include DVD/CD, RFID cards, removable media like USB thumb drive, memory chip card, processor chip card or certificated smart card or token. Once configured, the sign in methods such as a USB thumb drive simply needs to be removed from the USB slot and the PC will lock up preventing people who might get curious when passing by. To unlock the PC again, the approved sign on is re-entered (in this case by slotting the USB thumb drive back into the USB slot). It's also possible to protect against theft of the logon device by requiring a password to be entered too. There are numerous other security features which make this a very secure login improvement for Windows.
