Overview

Zortam Mp3 Media Studio is its own music studio to manage a personal music collection within Windows.

There is an ID3 tag editor which can alter any meta data associated with individual audio/music files. Zortam MP3 Media Studio can access as many as 35 million online records relating to audio and music files to ensure that the meta data is updated correctly. Tagging can be performed automatically without any need for user interaction or the user can review each change and confirm it.

The Zortam database is used by the application to update song lyrics, covers, albums, genres, publications, comments and correct track numbers. FreeDB is also accessed to cross-reference and fill in gaps in the meta information. Once correctly updated, any audio files transferred across to a media player or portable device will be able to display the correct track and artist information every time which makes it much easier to make the right selection.

Files can be renamed in an organized manner. Batch renaming can also be used to create some consistency within an album and between an entire catalog of audio and music files.

An advanced CD Ripper feature is included which can pull down the artwork for the CD and then rip the CD to a digital version.

A music player can play anything added to the catalog with the CD artwork and lyrics (where available) displayed alongside the music playback.

Installation

The installation completed without any issues. No malware, spyware or adware was added during the setup process.

Zortam Mp3 Media Studio requires Windows OS and will run on most systems.

Interface

The interface for this application packs a lot into it.

The MP library is a simple expandable folder tree essentially. The ID3 tag editor includes several tabs for different levels of customization of information including adding (or editing) lyrics. The CD ripper is shown in the mid-right section ready to rip any CD needed. A widescreen display with a decent size/resolution is advisable.
