Players can even set Versus to prevent repeat selections and mirror matches, where both sides select the same character. While Versus comes preconfigured for use with Soul Calibur IV, it can be effortlessly adapted to accommodate other games. To make changes, players can open Versus and access the "About" window by clicking the corresponding button. From there, selecting "Prog Dirs" at the bottom opens the program directory window. After opening the Versus.txt file in the directory that doesn't contain "Versus.exe," users can simply add any desired names to the list, with a maximum total of 1000 characters. The name can be anything as long as it has fewer than 100 characters, although longer names may be truncated in the main view. To temporarily disable a name, add "#" in front of it. Moreover, players can assign higher priority to certain selections by duplicating their names in the list. Each name should be followed by a carriage return (enter). Once the modifications are complete, users can save the file and reload Versus.

To view a list of previous matches, simply click the "More" button, expanding the window and revealing the comprehensive match history. Note that the list displays a maximum of approximately 5000 selections, with older entries being progressively erased as the limit is reached. The expanded window also provides selection options, allowing users to enable or disable mirror matches and repeating selections. For a quick list, players can utilize the "10 More" or "100 More" buttons, and the convenient "Copy" function allows for one-click copying of the list to the clipboard.
