Overview

Teleport Pro is a web site crawler and duplicator of web sites. The software acts as both a crawler and an offline browser that can take a complete copy of a web site so that it can be viewed entirely offline.

Download part or all of a certain web site. See the entire folder structure and click any folder to see all the files contained in that folder. It is not necessary to download all of a huge web site because some sites are too large to download completely, so the software allows for downloading only part of a site instead.

Follow links from the first site to a second site, crawl that site, then duplicate it as well.

Access as many as ten different web sites to initiate a download of all the files. Enter a password for password protected web sites. Currently the software can understand HTML 5, CSS 2 and DHTML.

Teleport Pro can use a server-side image map to explore a complete site. Java is supported too.

Installation

The package required 1.6 MB to install. There were no issues with the installation.

There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup package.

Teleport Pro requires Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 3.x, 2000, XP, 2003, or Vista.

Interface

The interface is pretty plain and simple.

There is a menu system with top-level menu options for File, Project, View, and Help. There is also a toolbar below the menu with numerous small buttons for fast access to commands.

Several of the toolbar buttons have option to change the viewing style.

The main viewer is split into the left side pane with the web site address as the root level and all the sub folders. In the right pane are the actual files stored in the selected folder so when a user clicks on a different folder in the left pane, the contents of the file viewing pane on the right changes immediately too.
