ServerMask is a package for Windows servers to hide what server technology is being used to deliver each web page served. With IIS web servers, it is common for exploits to be used to get into the server and attack it from within. Therefore for web hosts using IIS for Windows servers, it can be useful to change the server information given out by the web hosting server, or to even randomize that information to keep hackers guessing. ServerMask can also modify a lot of other information that is distributed when content is sent out by a web server in response to a new visitor to a web site. Can work well with IIS, FrontPage, Outlook Web Access, and scripting code for PHP, ASP.NET, JSP, Perl and ColdFusion.
