Overview

SensiGuard is a useful piece of software that can increase the data security for all types of files when used on hard drives or portable data storage devices.

The software can encrypt data so that it cannot be accessed without the correct password. This can be to secure access to files that are staying on an internal drive, for files being transported or for ones that are being attached to emails and being sent to clients who already know the correct password to use.

Both folders and files can be locked to ensure data cannot be accessed by a third party. This ensures that folders need to be unlocked by the authorized user before files stored within the folder can be accessed.

Files can also be compressed to save space and later decompressed when needed.

256-bit AES encryption is used which is fast to decrypt for modern PCs that often have AES hardware decryption built into Intel or AMD chips today.

USB flash drives can be encrypted and password-protected to ensure that data is safe during transit.

Permanent file deletion is included to ensure that data that is no longer needed can be removed without issue by overwriting the existing data rather than merely removing its identifier.

Installation

SensiGuard required 1.2 MB of available storage space to fully install. The installation went off without a hitch.

There were not toolbars, adware or malicious software included within the distribution.

SensiGuard requires Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8.

Interface

The interface was simple and easy to use for anyone even a little bit familiar with using file or folder encryption software.

A series of menu options is shown at the top. Below this is a toolbar with large, colorful buttons which change depending on which feature is being used (file encryption, password selection, etc.).

SensiGuard packs quite a few security features into a single package including folder and file locking, file encryption, AES 256-bit level protection, safe data deletion, portable USB flash drive encryption, and more. The sheer number of features that are included is impressive and avoids the need to buy (or use) several packages to achieve the same results.
