ScreenHunter helps you capture the images on your screen, but unlike the traditional Print Screen key, it offers more customization over what portion of the screen should be included, set a delay, image settings, etc.

Here’s a quick overview:

• As soon as you install and run the software you’ll notice 4 big tabs: “From”, “To”, “Options”, “Tasks”
• The “From” tab contains settings where you can define which key you want to use to capture the screen and what portion of the screen you want to use; in the free version you can only use the rectangular area or active window unlike the Pro version where you can define a fixed area, a specific window, video screen, webcam, different shapes, browser, etc
• The “To” tab is where you can tell the software what format you want it to export the picture to (BMP, PNG, PDF, GIF, TIF, JPG) and the quality of the picture, transparency, add color effects; in the paid version you can add automatically watermarks, auto-scale the picture to a specified size
• The program runs minimized in system tray and it’s activated any time you want to capture the screen
