RusRoute is a router and firewall intended to be used by businesses that need an internet gateway running under Windows. Use with a local area network (LAN) to control how the network card and network controller function together. Shape traffic, redirect traffic, or use the HTTP proxy server, VPN server, DHCP servers, HTTP caches, timed action, captive portal and more. There is also the suggestion of using a second machine with Linux to install a TCP stack replacement to get a faster TCP connection rather than relying on Windows for this; clearly an advanced user suggestion. Nevertheless, the package is also useful for intermediate users too.
