Overview

PhoneBrowse is a package that lets the Windows user plug in their iOS device and access its information. The software can access iPhone, iPod, and iPad devices.

The software uses Apple iDevice drivers to connect successfully with the mobile devices. It will then load in installed apps and the file system so that the user can browse the installed apps and view the file system completely.

The user can select to export apps or files across from the iOS device. It is also possible to download new apps and transfer apps and files across from the PC to the iOS device.

The file system of the iOS device can be fully accessed using PhoneBrowse without the need for jail-breaking the device itself which would invalidate its warranty.

Use the software to perform data backups and access contacts, calendars, notes, and bookmarks stored in the Apple device.

Installation

The software requires 15.3 MB of available space. The installation went as planned.

Apple iDevice drivers are required to be installed. If they are not detected then this software will offer to install them for the user.

There was no adware, toolbars, malware or spyware included with the setup program.

PhoneBrowse requires Windows 8, 7, Vista or XP (32 bit or 64 bit). The software also requires iTunes 10.0 or above, and Apple iDevice drivers which the software can supply.

Interface

The PhoneBrowse display shows a smart phone, cable and computer.

At the top left corner, there is a link to a few system menu options.

If the Apple drivers are missing, then there will be a link shown to access the Apple iDrivers.

Below this area are four button links to Refresh the Library, Import new files to App folders and iOS folders, Export App and iOS files to the PC, and Create new folders on iPhone, iPad and iPod.

SharePod lets the use access their iOS device to alter, backup or access it without the need to use the iOS product directly. CopyTrans Manager is another option as well.
