Overview

LightMan TagEditor is a meta tag information editor for ID3 tag information used in MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, APE, WV, M4A, AAC and MPC files.

The software lets the user add song tracks, select them individually, and edit their meta tag information. The tracks are individually selectable and can be edited for only ID3 v 1.1 or ID3 v 2.x tag information standards. The tag editor lets the user access title, artist, album, year, genre and comments information, and make changes where they see fit. This can help with the correct cataloging of albums later. FreeDB can be used as an online download source for correct ID tag information for a song track or album.

The lyrics for a song track can also be looked up online.

The software has a dark skin theme which may be difficult for some users to see clearly if they have any sight difficulties.

Installation

The installation completed without any issues.

There was no adware, toolbars or other unwanted item included.

LightMan TagEditor requires Windows 8.1 or earlier.

Interface

The interface is dark grey with while text boxes for entries.

The main menu system at the top includes options for File, Edit, View, Tools, Options, and Help.

The file names of song tracks can be seen in the main viewer ready for the adjustment of their ID tagging information.

Once a song track has been selected, it is possible to view the ID3 v 1.1, ID3 v 2.x or the Lyrics associated with that track.

To the right, detailed information about the track is shown.
