Overview

KpyM Telnet/SSH Server is an open-source SSH server and TelNet package which enables access to a host computer using either TelNet or SSH communication protocols.

The software runs under Windows as a daemon process, but it does have either a console with a basic graphical interface or the KpyM Telnet/SSH Server can be accessed via the command line option.

The command line can be used to access FTP and other services directly without needing to open up a separate FTP package.

The software can also be accessed by external full color graphical consoles such as Edit.com, SapConsole.exe, Tetris.exe, and others. The Telnet / SSH server will accept connections being made from any SSH or TelNet client across any platform or operating system.

The SSH server allows file transfers and file adjustments while using the secure SFTP protocol to access the server. This means files can be securely sent end-to-end and changes made to filenames once connected.

KpyM Telnet/SSH Server runs as a service, so it will keep running even if the user is also actively logged in as another user name within Windows or the screen is locked. There is no user name or password requiring separate entry because the software utilizes Windows' own identification processes.

Installation

The software has an automated installation and uninstallation program which will also setup the console too. The source code is also available if needed because the program is both open-source and free.

There was no adware, toolbars, spyware or malware included with the setup.

KpyM Telnet/SSH Server requires Windows NT, 2000, Windows Server 2003 or XP.

Interface

Strictly speaking there is no interface with the KpyM Telnet/SSH Server. With that said, a console is supplied to provide a graphical front-end that can be used when needed. Alternatively, the software can also work with the command line to make it accessible via script or by using manual commands.
