GDIView is a viewer to show the many Windows GDI handles that are in use. Each GDI handle relates and can be used only by its own GDI object. In this way, they cannot be shared like a dynamic link library can be. This unusual tool show the GDI handles it finds like pens, fonts, brushes, bitmaps and others. It will also indicate which process opened the GDI handle. The count for each GDI handle type is also shown within this tiny application. Handle information is shown in detail. Ideally the tool is best used by Windows app developers who need to trace where GDI resources are leaking out of the application in order to reduce excessive memory usage over time.
