Overview

FilePackager Professional is a professional file packaging software that can be used by software developers to put together an extractable installation solution.

The software is able to create self-extracting SFX ZIP files that can be used to distribute software where the user can double-click on the ZIP file archive and open it without the need for another piece of software with an unpacking capability. It also avoids the need for every user to know how to unpack a compressed archive because once it is double-clicked, it unpacks automatically.

An installation system can be configured using FilePackager Professional from DimData which can include a Windows Installer, modifications to the system registry, shortcut creation and DLL registration to complete installations. Software patches or updates can also be included as this kind of package as well.

Self-extracting ZIP files can be compressed to save space with distributions. Deflate64, BWT and PKZIP 2.04g compression are all supported. File archives can also have 128-bit or 256-bit encryption technologies deployed.

Display a custom license agreement with configurable "accept" and "decline" buttons, Customize all other messages, prompts and button captions. All messages to people installing the software and dialog prompts can all be changed to suit the developer.

Interface

The interface is focused on taking the user through the process of getting up an installation package.
