Overview

Email Director .NET is a handy solution for all your email marketing purposes. This program allows you to communicate with your clients easily, no matter how many emails you have to send or forward at once. Features include personal, bulk or 3^rd party sending methods, delivery status notification control (ESMTP), auto-forwarding and auto-responding functions, list importer/exporter as well as internal text and HTML message editor.

Installation

To install the program, simply run the installer and follow the easy set of instructions. There are no steps where you will need advanced technical knowledge, since everything is pretty much obvious and self-explainable. The overall process will take just a couple of minutes to finish and you might get a notification which tells you to close running applications in order to let Email Director update them.

Supported operating systems are Windows XP (SP3), Vista (SP2), 7 and Server 2008 SP2/R2. There are different versions available for 32 and 64-bit systems. The only special requirement is that you need to have Microsoft .NET Framework installed.

Interface

The program’s window has a light blue theme which can be changed, and a wide variety of buttons and small graphics for each button and feature. On the left hand side you can see a side panel which has several different sliding menus: Main Menu, Automation Tools, List Cleaners, Extra Tools, Advanced and Help. From the main screen of the program you can create an email which you can then edit and send to a list of recipients. Using the buttons at the top you can open one of the managers or perform other actions, like preview or send an email.

Pros

There are plenty of automation tools for your convenience. For instance, there are tools for automatically adding or removing users to/from your groups (auto-subscribe and auto-unsubscribe). Other automation tools are auto-forwarder, auto-responder, auto SPAM filter and auto email tracer.

The advanced built-in HTML editor gives you the power to create a new message and save it to disk as an HTML file. You can then open it in Email Director by clicking on the button next to the “Message” field.

There are 5 managers that you can help you with your tasks: Email manager, Group manager, History manager, Certificate manager and Schedule manager. The first manager keeps all your email accounts, the second manager sorts your mailing lists and contacts, History manager records details regarding sent all sent emails and the Certificate manager will secure your personally identifiable information by letting you import (or export) certificates. Last but not least, the Schedule manager will assist you with scheduled tasks.

For better organization, Email Director comes with two cleaners: Email Verifier and Bounce Buster. The first tool will remove all bad email addresses from your lists and prevent bad addresses from getting on your lists as well. Bounce Buster does a similar job by removing email addresses which appear on your lists due to emails that failed to send to correctly and bounced back to you.

Cons

There is no trial version for the .NET edition of Email Director. You can use the free version, but all the features of the paid version are disabled.
