Corel Painter is a painting app for the budding artist who prefers to use a digital canvas than a real life one. Pick your brush, paints, oils or watercolors, paper textures as your canvas and then get busy painting up a storm. The app for the Mac has been around for 20 years so far, but has clearly been updated over the two decades to take advantage of the expanded graphical capabilities of modern graphic cards and HD displays. The main tools are in a toolbar down the left side, with expanded control windows on the right side. This is similar to other graphics packages like Coreldraw or Photoshop, so anyone who's used one of those will feel right at home quickly.
