Overview

CopyTrans Shelbee is a Windows package to provide a backup option for iPhone owners who also own a Windows PC as their primary desktop/laptop computer.

The package can handle many aspects of data stored on multiple types of iOS device. Installed apps, contacts, messages sent and received, calendars, camera roll, app files and documents, and preferences can be saved.

Instead of using Apple's iTunes software, this software can help to backup without issues. There is no need, like there can be, to erase and sync to bring the software up to date. There are frequent problems for iTunes users where the iTunes backup gets messed up and has to be rectified with separate software to fix the problem. CopyTrans Shelbee removes this problem by ensuring that the iPhone can be accessed for backup purposes without the need to use iTunes.

Installation

The installation process runs okay. There is a little strange language selection window that pops up, but after that the language is selected, the program installs without difficulty.

The software requires Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Interface

The interface is simple to use. There are two tabbed options for Backup and Restore, and Toolbox. The Backup and Restore is obvious, but the Toolbox includes a feature that helps users automatically move the iOS backups made by iTunes from the default iTunes folder to another location on their PC. There is also a Settings icon in the top right corner of the app with Settings, Notifications, and a few other more minor options.
