After choosing to defrag the registry, you'll be prompted to restart your PC. It's only through the next boot up process that the registry is actually defragged. You'll be able to see it happen when you boot up your PC the next time and watch it go through the next steps.  

Pros:

The best part about Auslogics Registry Defrag is that it's offered as one of their Freebie programs that you can use without having to pay for. It's also a very effective tool in speeding up registry access times and enhancing system performance. In addition to registry defrag, another freebie being offered by Auslogics that you can try is the freebie disk defrag tool. Both are very good at speeding up your PC performance for free. 

Cons:

• Constant program nagging to get you interested in purchasing the full versions of their other programs
• We would have liked to see an all inclusive package from Auslogics with all their tools rolled into one - For now you can only buy them separately
