It can be used by both a normal user who has forgotten his/her password or even forensic engineers.

Using Appnimi PDF Unlocker

* Download the zip file by clicking on the download link
* Extract the zip
* Run the installer in the zip file
* Select the default settings while installing
* Run "Appnimi PDF Unlocker" using one of the shortcuts on desktop or in the startup menu.
* Enter the path to password protected pdf file
* Enter the minimum and maximum length of the password
* Click on Start
* It will show the no of attempts and the last attempted password at the bottom
* The recovered password will be shown in a message box
