Overview

OfficeCalendar for Microsoft Outlook is a software application that integrates within Microsoft Outlook email and organizer program to add facilities for office workers and colleagues to use sharing in a new way. Rather than being restricted to the usual Outlook single user focus, this software will make calendars shareable, add group calendars for team members to use collectively, share email, contacts and tasks in new ways. Both personal and shared Outlook folders can be separately maintained in order to allow some logical separation between the two. OfficeCalendar Online also allows Outlook users to access the software from the web as well. Security is also a strong feature with individual security access which can be set for personal usage.

Installation

OfficeCalendar for Microsoft Outlook installs without any issue. It includes no extra unwanted software. Usually it is best that Microsoft Outlook is shut down before installing this software and then re-opened once OfficeCalendar has completed its install procedure.

Interface

The interface is essentially still Microsoft Outlook, but new features have been augmented into it. The main menu at the top gets an OfficeCalendar menu item. Toolbar icons for OfficeCalendar are situated on their own line above the calendar in the top left of the space.

The My Calendars section on the lower left part for the software window will include other calendars from individuals who have chosen to share them with you or with a group that the user is in. Conference and Group calendars also show here. Which calendar to integrate into the main month calendar display depends on which calendars get a tick in the check box to their left.
